Trunnion Mounted Ball Valves

In J-VALVES’ production workshop, every trunnion mounted ball valve undergoes 12 rigorous inspection procedures from raw material intake to finished product delivery—this is the core reason why J-VALVES valves have operated reliably in global oil and gas projects for nearly 20 years. Unlike simplified production processes used by some manufacturers, J-VALVES has established a full-process quality control system covering design, forging, machining, assembly, and testing, ensuring every delivered valve meets international standards such as API 6D and ASME B16.5.

During the design phase, J-VALVES engineers customize solutions based on client-specific operating parameters (medium, pressure, temperature, corrosion level). Finite element analysis simulates stress distribution under high pressure differences and thermal cycles, optimizing body wall thickness and flow path structure to prevent cracking caused by stress concentration. In the machining stage, all valve bodies are integrally processed using CNC machining centers. Valve seat sealing surfaces undergo supersonic spray hardening treatment, achieving a hardness of HRC60+ to resist medium erosion and corrosion. Assembly takes place in a dust-free workshop, with every seal component inspected for dimensional accuracy to ensure fit clearances within 0.02mm, laying the foundation for zero leakage.

Testing is the cornerstone of J-VALVES’ quality control. Every valve must pass high-pressure shell tests, seat leakage tests, cavity pressure relief tests, and fire-safe tests before delivery, with test pressures up to 1.5 times the rated pressure to ensure safety under extreme conditions. A photo from J-VALVES’ workshop shows multiple large-diameter trunnion mounted ball valves neatly arranged, with scratch-free flange faces and evenly tightened bolts—this meticulous attention to detail allows J-VALVES products to withstand harsh conditions worldwide.

In a Middle Eastern natural gas long-distance pipeline project, J-VALVES’ DN1000 Class 900 trunnion mounted ball valves operated continuously for 8 years in desert high temperatures and sandstorms, with sealing performance still meeting standards, far exceeding the client’s expected service life. At a European refinery’s hydroprocessing unit, J-VALVES metal-seated trunnion mounted ball valves solved seal failure issues caused by high-temperature and high-pressure coking, saving the client significant shutdown and maintenance costs.

From raw materials to finished products, from design to after-sales service, J-VALVES consistently pursues “zero defects,” providing reliable trunnion mounted ball valve products and services to global clients.
