Industrial Ball Valve Categories & Specifications
J-VALVES manufactures nine categories of industrial ball valves at two plants in Wenzhou, China - trunnion mounted, floating, fully welded, DBB, ultra-low temperature, three-way and four-way, high-temperature, high-pressure and metal-seated ball valves - in sizes from 1/2" to 56" (DN15 to DN1400), pressure classes from 150LB to 2500LB (PN20 to PN420), and temperatures from -196°C to 650°C.
Every category is engineered to a defined standard envelope: design to API 6D, API 608 and ASME B16.34, testing to API 598 and ISO 5208, fire-safe type testing to API 607. Soft seats cover -29°C to 280°C, PEEK seats -60°C to 260°C, and metal-to-metal seats with Stellite hardfacing serve up to 650°C.
Use this page as your selection hub: the category matrix below compares size range, pressure class, temperature range, materials and applicable standards side by side, and each category card links to a dedicated page with drawings, datasheets and order-level specifications.

| Your Service | Recommended Category | Why |
| Oil & gas gathering, pipelines | Trunnion Mounted | Trunnion support keeps seat loading stable at high differential pressure; full API 6D compliance |
| Buried gas / heating transmission lines | Fully Welded | Welded body eliminates flange leak paths; 100% radiographic testing on welds |
| Small bore, tight shutoff, frequent cycling | Floating | Ball seats against downstream seat under line pressure - bubble-tight shutoff at low cost |
| LNG liquefaction, carriers, regas | Ultra-low Temperature | Extended bonnet keeps packing above -29°C; -196°C tested in our own laboratory |
| Instrument isolation and venting | DBB | Two independent sealing surfaces plus bleed port verify zero downstream pressure |
| Mixing or diverting two flow paths | Three-way / Four-way | L-port and T-port designs switch flow direction with a quarter turn |
| Furnace outlets, thermal oil >300°C | High-temperature / Metal-seated | Metal-to-metal seats with Stellite hardfacing survive beyond soft-seat limits |
