Spectrometer chemical analysis is performed for every batch of C95800 castings to comply with ASTM B148 standard. Material fraud is strictly avoided to prevent valve leakage or rupture caused by inferior raw material.
III. Manufacturing Process: From Casting, Machining to Final Inspection
Precision Casting & CNC Machining
C95800 bronze has poorer fluidity during casting compared with carbon steel and stainless steel. We adopt investment casting process to produce valve body blanks and minimize casting defects like porosity and shrinkage cavity.
After NDT inspection, castings go through CNC precision machining for sealing faces and end connections. Fine surface flatness of sealing area is critical to achieve bubble-tight shutoff.
The biggest merit of top entry construction: the bonnet is assembled on top of valve body. When maintenance is required, technicians do not need to detach the valve from pipework. Simply remove top bolts to access ball and seat assembly. It is a huge advantage for marine systems that cannot afford long shutdown.
Assembly & Pressure Testing
This 0.75" Class150 floating ball design: the ball is free floating. Fluid pressure pushes ball tightly against downstream seat to get reliable sealing.
After assembly, all valves are tested following API 6D specification:
Body hydrostatic test at 1.5 times of rated pressure, hold pressure without leakage;
Seat air test at 1.1 times rated pressure, bidirectional sealing inspection with zero visible leakage.
Material test reports and pressure test certificates are available with shipment.
