Generally speaking, ball valve has floating type and trunnion type, also divide one piece body, two piece body and three piece body to install on different pipes or equipments.

Floating ball valve is used for normal pressure and small size, trunnion type ball valve is used for high pressure and bigger size because of ball is more stable. Ball valve also have soft seat for normal temperature, and have metal seat for high temperature or some corrosion medium.
