API Stainless Steel Ball Valve, the connection between valve body & bonnet use a gasket for seal, to avoid leakage due to fire, high temperature or vibration, etc. The body and bonnet are designed metal to metal contacted, thus to form up a seal flange to ensure leak-tightness. API Stainless Steel Ball Valve use fire safe structure, in case of fire, the nonmetal packing or seat will be burnt, the considerable leakage may possibly cause fire spread. Then the fire protection structure functions to prevent medium from mass leakage. Once the seat is burnt, the ball will directly contact the metal face on valve body, thus to prevent medium leaking our from the burnt seat. It’s s good helpful design in oil & gas pipelines.
